Alzheimer’s disease symptoms

Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disease characterized by plaques tangles and neuronal loss. Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most common causes of the loss of mental function known broadly as dementia. It is a progressive disease, the symptoms growing worse with time.

Symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s primarily affect thought processes, but there are often other behavioral or physical conditions that can make it hard to asses problems in one area of functioning. 

Symptoms also vary from person to person and by how far the disease has progressed.

Common signs of Alzheimer’s diseases including memory loss, language problems, disorientation, difficulty with familiar tasks, personality changes, mood and behavioral changes, poor judgment, abstract thinking.

The symptoms will usually vary with the stage of the illness. Stage one presents with milder symptoms, Stage two symptoms are progressively worse and stage three is the terminal stage.

Symptoms progress at different rates and in different patients, Thus patient may begin to have problems with muscular coordination earlier than another or retain some memories longer.
